Brief Bio:
Jeff Rochon is Executive Director of the Pharmacy HIT Collaborative (PHIT). PHIT is an organization of the major national pharmacy associations and associate members focused on advocating and educating key stakeholders regarding the use of health IT to better enable pharmacists to help optimize person-centered care by the inclusion of pharmacists within a technology-enabled integrated health care system. Rochon collaborates with state and national pharmacy associations, standards development organizations (NCPDP and HL7) and other stakeholder groups in efforts to adopt and implement systems that will enable interoperable data sharing and optimize pharmacy care services.
Rochon is a dynamic healthcare executive dedicated to transforming healthcare through improved patient safety, outcomes, affordability, and access. A graduate of the University of Washington with a Doctorate in Pharmacy, Jeff completed a Community Practice Residency at Kelley-Ross Pharmacy in Seattle, WA, and has practiced in hospital, clinic, and community settings.
As CEO of the Washington State Pharmacy Association for 11 years, Jeff led efforts like the passage of ESSB 5557, expanding patient access to pharmacist-provided services. He later served as President and CEO of PACE Alliance Inc., where he partnered with McKesson and IPC to enhance independent pharmacies’ role in chronic disease management and public health, including pandemic-related services.
